December 2016

Bro Dr Charles Shepherd and Bro Stan Nutt visited Kids Unlimited / Youth Link to deliver the £500 donation from PGL.

A further cheque from Dundee St. Mary for £300 was also presented. The team at Kids Unlimited are experiencing some funding challenges and were hugely appreciative of both donations, and some advice from Stan.

I'd like to express my personal thanks to PGL for supporting this worthy local charity, which attempts to give children some time away from caring for adult family members.

The RWM of Lodge Ubique. Accompanied by the WSW Ian Green, PM David Stewart and Brother Jim Green we presented a cheque for £300 to Andrew Whitehead and his parents. The donation was part of the PGL charity causes, the family were extremely happy and honoured to be selected.

RWM and Office Bearers of Lodge Ubique 1192 . Presented a cheque for £500 from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Forfarshire. There nominated charity was Tayside Kidney Patients Association.

This was a favorite of Michaels late wife - Edith. this donation will go towards replacing a music system that the whole class will benefit from

£500 Donation to The Glenlaw Centre, Kings Cross Hospital, Dundee.

A cheque for £500.00 was presented by James Robertson R.W.M. of Lodge Ancient 49 to Alison Marshall Charge Nurse at Glenlaw House.
Glenlaw House is a care home service for children and young people with complex health needs.

Pipe Band Presentation - Feb 2016

Lodge St Vigean 101 held a Burns Supper in The Newgate Bowling Club on Saturday Evening (6th Feb). A capacity audience attended to pay homage to The Bard and everybody had a great time.
Stuart Cargill addressed The Haggis, while entertainment was provided by singers Alan & Val Mowatt, and Arbroath Pipe Band (Formerly Arbroath Legion Band) were on hand to play a few Scottish tunes.
While there Maurice Cruickshanks (Right Worshipful Master of Lodge St Vigean 101) presented a £200 cheque to The Arbroath Pipe Band.
